Old Britts

Touring Twins, 3T - 5T - 6T - 3TA - 5TA

1938 to 1966, Monograph No. 12

By Roy Bacon

From its start late in 1937, the Speed Twin set the pattern for the British industry in the postwar years. Its ten year start was always an advantage, and from the basic tourer came both smaller and larger versions, plus more sporting variants. Later, they turned to unit construction, and this title directs its attention to the base, the tourers from which the rest came, the machines bought and used by so many. Soft bound, 6" x 8 ¼", 55 pages, approximately 50 illustrations.

Motorcycle Monographs are handy, pocket-sized series of books for the enthusiast and general readers alike. Each book covers a single marquee, model or machine in depth, the authoritative text being fully supported by contemporary photographs to provide a complete reference source. Motorcycles of all ages and types and from all countries are covered by the constantly expanding list; offering history in the pocket.
