Looking for Lucas Magneto Parts

I am looking for the carbon brush assembly between the Lucas Magneto and the spark plug wires. There are two per magneto. They are about 1X1 inch square with the spring loaded carbon brush on one side and a place to screw in the spark plug lead on the other . For my 1967 Atlas. Any help here? Thank you!

    Hi Jim,

I just saw this post. Did you get any further on this quest?

Sorry that it didn't get seen sooner. I don't recall getting any notification of it. That seems to be an aspect of this part (Forums) of this site that we need to look into further.

I'm hoping that when you reply to my post that I will get a notice of your response.

    Regards,

    Will

Jim,  HNY to you too! I'm putting some feelers out there and I'll get back to you. It might be by email.

    Hi Jim,

I think that you're looking for the bakelite brush holders like on this magneto, right:

    https://m.ebay.com/itm/1967-Matchless-G15CS-G15-CS-750-Atlas-Hybrid-P11-N15-Norton-Magneto/123614075088?_mwBanner=1&_rdt=1

    Should look like this:

    http://www.srmclassicbikes.com/norton-dominator-atlas/norton-dominator-atlas-electrics-ignition

If that's the case, and depending on which model of magneto you have, would these work?

    https://m.ebay.com/itm/LUCAS-MAGNETO-PICKUP-BRUSH-K2F-BSA-TRIUMPH-NORTON-AJS-MATCHLESS-458876/251680382547?_mwBanner=1&_rdt=1

If you search on eBay for "norton atlas magneto brush" or "norton atlas K2F brush" or "lucas K2F brush" then there are listings for the NOS carbon brushes separately. Hope that helps.

    Cheers,

    John

Hello, This sounds like it's out of left field but I found Romaine Electrics stocks many parts. They had parts that replaced my old Triumph car transformer rectifier and generator. They offered to rewind/rebuild the generator but I bought a shelf stocked generator. Good luck getting your machine back on the road.

Jim; New here. I hope you have found your pickup but there is an April reply so... Is the pickup you need held by a standing clip or two screws?  Mark
